Ascend Training is dedicated to promoting local charities in the Chicago area. We are more than happy to consider adding different charities to our website, please contact us for more information.
Ascend allows each student to retake a class at our facility free for 6 months. This also includes new versions of any software, such as Adobe CS3.
Youth Guidance
Youth Guidance is a Chicago based charity that creates and implements school-based programs that enable at-risk children to overcome obstacles, focus on education and succeed in school and life. They help to decrease the dropout rate by implementing programs such as Project Prepare. Introduced in 1986, Project Prepare is active in high schools across Chicago reaching hundreds of students. Implemented through a four-year Career Readiness Curriculum, Project Prepare includes an 18-week workshop on counseling and case management, career awareness, job readiness training, job placement, job retention, and a follow-up seminar. Project Prepare also introduces topics such as job sectors, conflict management, resume writing, communications skills, and employer expectations.
